LAWN TENNIS: From Paris to UP-Diliman with Love

Teng, as his friends call him is a faculty of political science and history at the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) in Zamboanga City, Philippines. He teaches public international law, Philippine government and constitution, government and politics of Asia, and diplomatic history. At present, he is pursuing a Ph.D. Program in History, Cognate in Political Science, at the University of the Philippines (UP) in Diliman, Quezon City, Metro Manila. Teng earned a Master's Degree in History, Cognate in Political Science, at UP Diliman in 2004. He also obtained a Bachelor of Laws in 1999 and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1995. Research has been part of his academic life both as a faculty and a graduate student. His research interests include: Diplomatic History (West Asia and Southeast Asia), Ethnohistory, Migration, Human Rights and Legal Research, Conflict Resolution, and Islamic Studies. He speaks and writes in English and understand Spanish. He is also fluent in Cebuano, Chavacano, Filipino, Iranun, Maguindanao, M’ranao, Tausug, and can understand some languages in Southern Philippines. He values human respect and dignity.
